Married to Deb since 1985 and have four grown up kids, all in their mid to late twenties now.
My very first car back in 1979 was a 1976 Triumph Toledo - what I really dreamt of owning was a Triumph GT6 or a TR6 like my mate Glen and his brother but I didn't have the guts to stand up to mum and dad and just went along with the boring safe option for an 18 year old.
Having brought up my kids who have left me broke for the best part of 30 years I became obsessed with owning a classic car and this obsession grew the more I watch the likes of wheeler dealer and car SOS......
So finally in November last year (2014) I purchased my first classic - a Red 1972 Mk4 Triumph Spitfire and named her Scarlet - a perfect name for a Red Spitty I thought.
My wife thinks I am going through a mid life chrisis but I don't care, have loved every minute of owning it so far. Early days I know but I enjoy working on her, I can just spend my free time in the garage away from the soaps my other half likes to watch.
